haha not really! this monday my sister, A, gave me a ring after work and asked me if i wanted to get my nails done on Newbury. I recommended this place i had heard of called Paradise Nails. Its a beautiful salon, and this cute Korean couple owns and runs it. She got a pedicure and I got acrylics. The unusual thing is, I don't think they were fully equipped to do acrylics. By Friday all my nails had cracks in them and my left hand middle finger nails broke in half, effectively making me look like the crackwhore that I actually am not. On the brightside, A's pedicure was gorgeous, so I do recommend the place for pedicures! I went back and complained, and they actually gave me my money back, were really nice, and recommended "Lauren's nails" across the street.
Later, while W and I were sipping on Boba (btw W, you left your boba at your nail station) we decided to get our nails did at Lauren's. This place was AMAZING. Firstly, my nail man, Michael only charged me $35 for GEL! Paradise charged me $40 for not even real acrylic haha. W got her nails cut short, runway style, and a manicure, with this sexy dark color, tres chic. (FYI Lauren's mani pedi promo is $35 whereas Paradise's mani pedi promo is $30).
Anyway, now an update on work. I have officially completed my third week at work! The first two weeks consisted of me working with others at their desks, on funds that i will be taking from them. This week we were placed in training. There were four girls in training so I had a FAB time, and i learned a little too. The best part about us four girls, was that we were SO diverse, a ukrainian (who has been teaching us russian!), a jew, a west african and a pakistani (me). I think our diversity has added to our conversations, from religion to office dynamics to where to go for a brazillian haha! One of our trainers was this indian mba student though, and i dont know if all of you desi girls can agree with me, but i always feel a little awkward when i have to work with a fob desi guy. He always wears kind of tight pants, and picks on me for answers, and I know the only reason why is because he probably only remembers my name because he knows im desi. Some good news is though, I GOT A DESK YESTERDAY!! And its fully equipped with a name plate and computer:) One of the kids that sits next to me is really nice, and hes relatively new as well, so he is unbelievably helpful.
I wonder what I should decorate my desk with, without being an ostentatious girl in a male dominated office... any ideas??
(btw sorry for the lack of pictures in this post.. in the future i'll make sure I always have em! i'll also be doing my lip blog in the very near future)

Nafeesa, there is no correct way to purse your lips for a picture. Pursing one's lips for a picture should be avoided at all costs!!
these nicknames (A&W root beer, etc.) need to stop. Please spell out names or at the very least explain the reasoning of stated nicknames. You have two older sisters with name of A. what the hell? about your desk, you can't go wrong with a Staples "easy" button. hahahaha.

wafaa-- i think its safe to rock out dark in the fall and light come spring, but personally, i never follow the rules, its always fun to have a bright color in the cold and a dark hue during those hot nights we all look forward to!
a color i am absolutely in love with and i have taken the liberty of calling the "it color" of the season is "You Dont Know Jacques" by OPI, i often describe it as the color of sand when it has been made wet on the beach! its a gorgeous gray with a bit of a beige mixed into it... loves it!
i want boba and mani's/pedi's :( i'm getting one soon so if W or Z are interesed in joining give your friend a call ehhhh. mwaaaa
