Labor Day in Toronto: Day 2

The second day of the trip was great, Turab had just come back from his trip to Panama and we all headed out to downtown after Alma got back from work. While we were in downtown I found headpieces at a small jewelery store that I had been looking for like crazy in the US! I purchased one and Alma was nice enough to get me another for my birthday since I was having a hard time picking between the two, what a sweet little nugget.

At night we went to the CNE, a carnival in the city!! We specifically went for the fried food (we're talking butterfly chips, colossal onion, and fried mars bars... and corn on the cob, because even Carnies need their veggies), but we got to play some games and go on some rides as well (I only went on one because I am afraid of dying).

Even though the neon trend started Summer 2010 (I am proud to say I invested in my first neon piece back then!) it seemed to catch like wildfire this summer, so I had to get a dress to wear for one day of my trip. H&M had this dress for under $15! I wore a gray cardigan and camel colored accessories to offset the strong color!

At night we wanted to opt for comfort over style so I chose a simple outfit, that I had to dress up with the headpiece that Alma got for me! If you can't make the trip to Canada, you can purchase one on Etsy (http://www.etsy.com/listing/103201681/coin-shaped-headpiece-antique-gold?ref=sr_gallery_10&ga_search_query=headpiece&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=ZZ&ga_min=0&ga_max=0&ga_ref=auto1&ga_search_type=all)
